Kodai Lake: The name Kodaikanal has been derived from the Kodai Lake. Thus, one can’t afford to not visit the lake on his/her Kodaikanal trip. The place is a perfect picnic spot with breath taking natural settings and lush greenery around. Kodai Lake is a man made lake. Spread across an area of 60 acres, the lake is in the shape of a star. It was constructed in 1983 by Sir Vere Henry Levinge who was the former District Collector of Madurai. One can also go for boating and for pony rides around the lake.

Berijam Lake: Berijan Lake is 3 km long lake and is located at a distance of 21 km from Kodaikanal. The lake is equally captivating and charming and promises some relaxed memorable moment to its visitors. one can just go and spend some time amidst the best of natural settings. The lake makes for a good picnic spot.

Shenbaganur Museum: The Shenbaganur Museum was founded in the year of 1895. the museum has various kinds of artifacts belonging to ancient Paliyans tribes. there is also has interesting collection of more than 300 exotic orchid species. Close to 500 species of animals, birds and insects can also be spotted.

Telescope House: The place offers its visitors with breath taking view of the valley and the area around it. It is located in Coaker's Walk. Coaker's Walk was built by Lt. Coaker in 1872 and runs along slopes on the southern side of Kodai.

Green Valley View: Also referred as Suicide point, Green Valley View is an interesting places to visit offering its visitors with amazing view of the valley, the Vaigai dam and the surrounding area. If you want a good view it is advisable to visit after 10 am and before 3 pm as the place is mostly covered with moist and fog at other time of the day. It is a good place for photography too. Pillar Rocks: Located 8 km away from the lake, Pillar rocks are consisted of three granite boulders. The height of each granite boulders is 400 feet. they are standing shoulder to shoulder. there is chamber between two pillars which is called as Devil's kitchen.

Dolphin's Nose: Dolphin’s Nose is a flat projecting rock and is situated 8 km away from the lake and offers good view. One can reach the place by a steep rocky trail that begins after Pambar Bridge.

Vembadi Peak: With a height of 2466m, Venbadi Peak is the second highest peak. It can be reached by taking a right turn in Berijam road along with a steep climbing and it begins from Kodaikanal TV Tower. From here you get amazing view of the Berijam lake, Vandaravu range, Mannovanur sheep farm, Poombarai valley, etc.

Kurinji Andavar Murugan Temple: Kurinji Andavar Murugan Temple is located 3 km away from the Kodai Lake. The temple is a major tourist attraction. It is popular for the Kurinji flower which blossoms in the area only once every 12 years. Dedicated to Lord Muruga who is referred as 'God of hill', the temple makes for an interesting visit.
