Kodaikanal is blessed with a beautiful array of viewpoints that are sure to leave you mesmerized. Moir Point is one of the popular viewpoints of this hill station. It is located on the way to Berijam Lake.
This point got is name after Sir Thomas Moir. It is said that it is point where Sir Thomas Moir who was an engineer, had laid out foundation to build a road which is known as Goschen road/ Forty Mile Road in the year of 1929. When at Moir Point, you can see a pillar here. This was built as a memory of the event and to mark the opening of the road.
Moir Point offers captivating view of the peaks and the valley around. It is a perfect place for photographers. Its calm surrounding make it is place worth visiting by every nature lover. One can also see villages such as Chinnor, and Periyor from this point.
There is also a small park here, offering decent space to sit and enjoy the view at ease. Along with this you will also find a few shops located nearby.
